Sony HXR-M 1/3-inch Exmor R CMOS Prof.AVCHD

The HXR-MC50E features a high resolution Exmor R? CMOS Sensor. This new Sensor
developed by Sony captures amazing, detail-packed Full HD video and still images
with superb contrast, rich colours, excellent low-light performance and less picture
noise. The HXR-MC50E is equipped with Optical SteadyShot Active Mode anti-shake
technology which means you can capture steady, smooth, high-quality video with
your camcorder, even when moving or zooming in or out.This product is an entrylevel
product similar to the HXR-MC1P minicam and does not fulfill the NXCAM
criteria so will be marketed using the AVCHD logo.

Many customers require a file-based ultra compact camcorder at an affordable
price point, often this type of camcorder is used by operators that are not craft
camera operators. These customers mainly shoot in auto mode and often use this
type of product for training basic camcorder skills before moving on to more
manual camcorders.This type of camcorder may be used to record covertly in
politically/emotionally sensitive areas where a more ?consumer? look is an
advantage and a lower weight and size allows the user to operate for extended
periods of time.



A new touchscreen interface is used
Featuring the latest innovations in lens and sensor design, the HXR-NX5E offers outstanding picture performance to professional markets such as event videography and corporate video production. Sony's newly designed G Lens provides excellent resolution, colour and contrast, in combination with 3 x 1/3-inch Exmor CMOS Sensor system using ClearVid array for excellent low-light sensitivity. The HXR-NX5E can record stunning quality 1920 x 1080 images at 24Mbps (50i or 25p), as well as supporting 720/50p and Standard Definition recording.


The HXR-NX5E also features a GPS function which embeds GPS metadata when recording. Both the time and location can be displayed on playback allowing media assets to be organised efficiently using the content management software supplied with the camcorder. This function is ideal for locating footage from specific geographical locations and displaying the information graphically using third-party mapping software.


Along with the Memory Stick Pro Duo*, users are also able to record content on SDHC cards, ensuring compatibility with a wider range of consumer portable devices.
